A small business usually buys a website once every few years, on a fixed budget and with nobody on staff to run it. The price, the help available after launch and who owns the finished site matter as much as the design. The nine companies below build sites at small-business budgets, and seven of them publish a starting price for a website.
The ranking weighs five things: whether a company names small businesses as its market on its own site, published pricing, named client websites, the hosting and support offered after launch, and the years and team behind the work.
How to choose
If the budget is fixed
Clutch Creative Company sells a turnkey small-business site for $3,500, CyberOptik's template-based WordPress tier costs a fixed $3,000 to $5,000, and UPQODE prices a WordPress site based on a theme from $3,000.
If nobody on staff will maintain the site
Pronto Marketing sells WordPress support plans from $99 a month. Mainstreethost, Igniting Business and UPQODE host and maintain the sites they build.
If the business sells online
Igniting Business is an official Shopify Partner, Mainstreethost builds WooCommerce stores on WordPress, and Pronto Marketing adds an online store to its standard build as an upgrade.
If customers mostly arrive through search
Mainstreethost builds SEO into every site it launches, eSEOspace sells monthly SEO, GEO and AEO packages, and TheeDigital pairs custom WordPress sites with SEO and paid search management.
Seven of the nine companies publish a starting price
Pronto Marketing, CyberOptik, eSEOspace, Azuro Digital, Clutch Creative Company, TheeDigital and UPQODE all put a starting price for a website on their own sites. Most entry points sit at about $3,000: UPQODE's theme-based WordPress site, eSEOspace's typical custom project and the bottom of CyberOptik's semi-custom tier, although CyberOptik's pages also say its fully custom tier starts at $2k. At the other end, Azuro Digital starts at $10,000 and TheeDigital's custom lead-generation sites start at $15K.
Igniting Business quotes after a consultation, and Mainstreethost doesn't publish web design prices, though it lists SEO packages from $149 a month. A published price covers the build alone: CyberOptik and Pronto Marketing both list hosting and care plans separately from the build fee.
Template-based and custom sites sit at different prices
Three companies split their pricing by how much of the design is custom, and a fourth sells a template-based package next to unpriced custom work. CyberOptik's semi-custom tier customizes a template it has used many times, while its standard tier designs from scratch. UPQODE charges from $3,000 for a site based on a WordPress theme and from $8,500 for one designed from scratch. TheeDigital's cost calculator lists basic, semi-custom and custom lead-generation sites from $5K, $10K and $15K. Clutch Creative Company's $3,500 turnkey site starts from demo layouts planned for professional services, trades, wellness businesses and startups.
A template start is faster and costs less. A custom design suits a business whose content or brand doesn't fit a stock layout.
What a small business website costs
Published build prices among these companies mostly start at about $3,000 and reach $15,000 or more at the top of Pronto Marketing's range; TheeDigital's custom tier starts at $15K. Monthly costs come on top. Pronto lists WordPress support plans at $99, $299 and $799 a month (less when paid yearly), eSEOspace's SEO, GEO and AEO packages run $750 to $4,000 a month, Azuro Digital's ongoing SEO starts at $1,000 a month, and Mainstreethost's SEO packages start at $149 a month, billed annually.
Within one company's range, page count, custom design, integrations such as booking or CRM tools, and online stores move the price. UPQODE shows this plainly: its theme-based site costs $3,600 for three pages and $6,000 for 10.
